HI Maria – sorry you missed the posts. The sale ended a week ago 🙁 Sales on specific books (just one book) are very infrequent and correspond with the publication of new editions (which only happens every few years.)
Two options:

I am wondering if anyone has found a company for liability insurance as a BCPA. So far I have not found one that covers patient advocacy and I do not want to embark on this without it ( as has been mentioned many times in this course ) !! I would appreciate any input on this . I was told that perhaps I could use another certification but the…[Read more]

Hi Donna,
Reading through this post, I would highly recommend subcontracting with another advocate. Many things you or the client is saying can be considered criminal acts. I did this with a client in Maryland when I need what I call “boots on the ground.” My client was willing to pay for me to fly to Maryland but I wanted someone who knew the…[Read more]

For routine or non-emergent care, Canada is unlikely to pay. Cash negotiation is the route, as AnnMarie points out. There are Canadian travel and auto insurance policies that have some medical…[Read more]

Jeff,
I am unaware of an insurance for a non-U.S. resident, but I have had a Canadian client who came to the US for extensive oncology services. He paid cash upfront and I later negotiated his bill down so that it was pegged to Medicare rates.
