I know there used to be a California group. I believe they were a NAHAC Regional Group that broke off and formed their own group. Does anyone know how to contact the group or a member of the group?
Thanks.

I do not offer a refund of money. However, the Client is allowed to reopen their file for further services, with money left on the retainer for up to one year of the last invoice.

Hello all,
I am completing a consult tomorrow and I would like to take on part of the services which is the clinical advocacy part. So, I am reaching out to find someone who may be interested in taking on the other part: Medicare, Insurance and VA benefit advocacy. The client is in California. Family in Washington DC.
This brings me to a…[Read more] -

Ellen Barkin (age 69) is of Medicare age which means she doesn’t need SAG. She may prefer it because the secondary offered by SAG is possibly less expensive and maybe better than what is commercially available, but she doesn’t have to be without insurance.
From the little I know through my work with people in the industry, the SAG healthcare…[Read more]

You asked if the right imaging study has been performed to evaluate the celiac artery causing tissue not to have enough perfusion and causing detachment.
These are two separate issues. The celiac artery (sometimes called the celiac trunk) supplies the GI tract, not the abdominal wall musculature. So, if he does have MALS, that in itself…[Read more]

Interesting. It’s great that they post specific information but the truth is that the addresses and fax numbers definitely do vary especially for self-insured plans so they really need to say you MUST double check it rather than “you may want to”. I do love all their initiatives though. Their reporters are hungry to make a difference in this area!

Hello Trisha,
Thank you very much for your reply, to both of our questions. I would certainly first ask any client
whether they want grief counseling or not before proceeding. I read the Allegiance Factor in a Practice Up course and will review it again. The person I mentioned says she has a national certification as a grief…[Read more] -

There are a number of organizations that provide financial assistance for various drugs. Some are allowed to provide assistance for Medicare beneficiaries and some are not.
The link below is from the International Myeloma Foundation provides many options to check out.

Hello Robin,
There are many avenues to seek assistance. My client was on this drug last year and the CVS Specialty pharmacy applied on his behalf to numerous co-pay assistance programs. He was approved by the Patient Advocate Foundation. He is now on Pomalyst which his Dr. got Bristol Meyer RX Crossroads to supply to him direct, no cost. I…[Read more]

When you say the client has comple Neurological issues, what are you referring to? I too don’t think she should be admitted to a hospital. Given the hospital has circulating doctors on the payroll, she will not get the attention she desires. What do her concierge doctors think?

Hello Schandelle,
Although this is not what most people may do, but I have a “specialty invite” link in my Calendly setup that includes a couple of later evening and weekend hours. I only share this link with people such as your client, who work long hours and can’t pull away during the day to talk or respond to personal emails. I do this because…[Read more]

Good afternoon. I have a client who is on this medication, but has recently been changed to Medicare coverage. As I’m sure many of you know, this is a drug to treat multiple myeloma. The cost of this drug is incredibly expensive! Are there any supplemental coverages? In addition to Medicare? That would defray some of the calls for my client? T…[Read more]

Hi Schandelle,
Would their concierge doctors request a consultation with or give your client a referral to a neurologist affiliated with the Stanford program? I have no idea if starting treatment would require a hospital stay, or allow for a hospital stay to be covered, except under some kind of extreme circumstance. The hospital-affiliated…[Read more]
