Hey Lorelei!
My best suggestion? You’ve prepped, you’ve studied, you’ve read the suggested literature. I believe it is time to stop preparing and rest in your knowledge and ability.
Biggest tip? Do not overthink the questions. The information provided is enough to answer. Any extenuating circumstances not included in the question are not…[Read more]

I couldn’t agree more with the suggestions already provided!
I paid for a powerful CRM tool during the first year that I ended up canceling at the end of 12 months because it was an unnecessary expense. I have since moved operations to other tech tools that meet my needs in serving my clients. After 3 years of operations, I am now starting to…[Read more]

Susan, I understand your frustration. I had a longhauler early in the pandemic. He had a lot of symptoms and early on, a lot of doctors at hospitals were telling him he was crazy. As you pointed out, there symptoms don’t show up on tests.
Since that time, more and more hospitals are acknowledging that people with weird neurological and…[Read more]

excellent article Linda. I made several comments to clarify some of the comments. I think contributing to these type of article in the comment section is important for all of us to do from time to time. Clarifying who we are and what we do is critical. There are a lot of misconceptions out there!

Christie, I have to agree with Cindi Gatton. There are a lot of things you need to think about as you start. I would suggest you prioritize your to do list and think about what are the most important things for you to get going. As you build your clientele you can add more tools that make you more efficient.
Best of luck going forward and keep…[Read more]

Christie,
Welcome to the discipline and best of luck! I know not all folks might agree with this position, but there is no requirement to use tech tools in our practices. Some prefer to, because that’s what they’re comfortable with, but it is an operational cost for your practice to consider whether it is important enough to have out of the chute…[Read more]

All – today’s New York Times’ article about hospital-based patient advocates is really good publicity for private advocates, particularly if you read the comments. Main points:
* many hospitals have patient advocates or social workers or “patient experience” professionals on staff who can be helpful in sorting out various issues at no additional…[Read more] -

I am supporting many covid long haulers and those with covid vaccine harm, who present very much the same. I send their blood work to California to measure cytokine levels as their non-invasive testing comes back normal. The problem is that in Canada physicians wont acknowledge the bloodwork results, or the unfortunate reality these patients are…[Read more]
