Linda,
Not knowing the type of insurance, I cannot say for sure, but since most people’s insurance plans fall under the No Surprises Act, my weigh in is yes. The individual did not receive a good faith estimate and thus should not be required to pay a balance bill. They should file a complaint with CMS

My client gave her insurance card at the ER. She was treated for a minor injury and sent home. Then she received a bill for almost $8000. I sent in the EOB showing a patient balance of about $800. When I called they said they don’t contract with the insurance and don’t do settlements.
The patient was not informed at the ER visit that they did…[Read more]

Good afternoon,
I signed up for the bootcamp to take place this weekend 12/7 and 12/8. Unfortunately I have a couple of events that came up that I can’t get out of, more specifically on Sunday 12/8. Is there a recording for both days that I can watch when I am available? I keep trying to join the bootcamp forum Fall/Winter 2024 first 100 days…[Read more]

Hello Sarah,
I didn’t see a response to your question so I thought I would share my experience: My understanding is that I have a Registered Agent where my Business is and you can work with out of state clients and not have a license in each state because the place where your business is is what matters.
However, when I went to obtain my business…[Read more] -

Hi.

Were they at HAS ’24? I remember a booth for an org that did something like this. It was too expensive, in my opinion.Get Copay Help is a HIPAA-compliant platform designed to simplify the process of enrollment in financial assistance plans. It helps…[Read more]

Hi Janan!
These are both great versions! I think it is great to have both options.
I personally don’t think you need to have personal details included in your elevator pitch. Your “WHY” can be more part of your narrative version of your story. OR have this second version with more of your personal story to add more information when asked. Think…[Read more]

Hi Janan, great questions!
This is the exact kind of topic I like to discuss in our bonus session!
What I want to mention first is that there is a difference in having referral sources in place vs. having subcontractors in place. I am leaning to believe based on your list/examples here that these may be more referral sources for you. (I may…[Read more]
