She will get a second transvaginal ultrasound and a pelvic ultrasound next week.
She has an initial appt with two days later with an GYN-ONC to go over the results.
If he agrees that she needs to get a biopsy than she will get one probably with a light sedation – monitored anesthesia.

If they do not need someone located in town, I would consider being their financial POA. A lot of the financial aspects can be done remotely with a few site visits. I have a degree in accounting and worked as an accountant for many, many years prior to opening up my independent advocacy business.

They would need a lawyer to set up the paperwork for this.

If this transitions to remote I would be interested. Or if the case is large enough to pay for it, I will be glad to travel there to meet in person and gather information, then work remotely on the case.

I have found that many clients would rather text or email information rather than deal with a portal. By the time they get to me, they are tired of jumping through hoops.

Portability, the “P” in HIPAA seems to be the overlooked part of that regulation that often seems to have made things way more difficult than they should be.

Hi Jill – when I had my own practice, I had a Google workspace account, which was HIPAA compliant. I signed a Business Associate Agreement with Google to protect PHI and maintain HIPAA compliance. You can read more about that here: https://support.google.com/a/answer/3407054?hl=en

These are very painful – I can’t believe they would suggest nothing for an 86 year old. Ask if they can do a paracervical block, the medicine numbs the area and eases pain.
