Hi Stephanie,
I’m having issues with two things:
1) No matter which way I try, I cannot access my profile to upload my photo. It says I’m logged in but when I click on my profile icon, it gives me a unauthorized access message. Who can I contact about this?
2) I cannot advance to the next lesson (from 3 to 4) until I click that it’s Marked…[Read more] -

Hi Michelle (Liptak), In our initial meeting, I think it was you who said that you just received your BCPA credential in the spring exam. Is that you? If so, I’m interested in how you prepared for the exam (e.g., did you take a prep course, use study materials) and what was valuable for you.
I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and…[Read more]

Hello!

Learning where the line is between nursing and advocacy can be tricky but your knowledge and experiences will help…[Read more] -

Has anyone been able to fight “InterQual” critieria medical necessity denials? I’ve had this used by the N.P. “case manager” and a hand surgeon to deny knee replacement surgery.
Here’s the WEIRD part, the orthopod only wants to do a partial knee replacement on client’s left knee after doing a successful one on the right knee. The denial is for…[Read more]

If you are interested, APHA did an Expert Call-in with Marshall right after he published his book “Never Pay the First Bill.”
He had the ability to delve into the dark sides of healthcare, then figure out steps we mere mortals (patients!) could take to work the system the way we needed it to work for us.
A real loss…
