Wow. This is a tough one. I’m sorry I cannot help, but we will be anxious to hear what you learn. I will ask around and see if I find anything out.

This is a great question to ask here, Christie – because you are right. It has broader appeal.
First, and important. Neither APHA (nor I) makes ANY recommendations about ANY tools. The list of resources is just that – a list. We have not reviewed them in any way, we haven’t judged them in any way. We have learned about them through a variety of…[Read more]

Trisha-Thanks for all of the resources and insights on tech tools, etc to build a practice. I’m wondering when you suggest that newbies start and buy their desired practice management tools? Should we get set up BEFORE we go live and open our business so we are ready and organized? Or wait and defer the expense until we have real client(s)?

Hi –
I received a call regarding a surrogacy situation. The surrogate had preeclampsia and gave birth to the baby at 28 weeks. The first week of NICU care cost about $180K. I don’t know anything about how surrogate arrangements work in terms of health insurance for the baby but what I’ve just learned is that the surrogate’s health insurance…[Read more]

Problems most often arise when the hospital fails to obtain timely certification from insurers for emergency services. If the provider fails to provide the appropriate clinical information to the insurer it is likely that the claim will be denied. Each insurer has a different criteria as to what qualifies as an “emergency” and medically nec…[Read more]

I too use Adobe Pro DC and like it for the most part. I have watched quite a few youtube videos to learn how to use many of the functions. Some things about it can be a pain but overall, I like it for both the ability to create documents and to send documents for signature.
Based on this post I realized I was paying more than others so I signed…[Read more]

I use HelloSign. It allows three documents a month for free and I haven’t needed more than that as some clients sign on paper.

Once you’ve engaged a potential client on the phone, it’s time to get down to business. For that you’ll need to develop and assessment, and then an estimate – which is what we’ll cover in Lesson 12.
Find a link to Lesson 12 on your Cohort Homepage.

Gayle,
There is only one registration and one price. About 75% of the programming is on Friday only. (There is a reception Thursday evening, and a few more sessions on Saturday morning, but the great majority is Friday, including a nice sit-down dinner.
You can register for the whole conference, but only attend on Friday if you wish? I’d…[Read more]

Illinois has had a similar law for many years. I’ve worked on a number of these cases. The two most difficult were when clients were transferred from one ER to another OON ER – due to the severity of their situations and DOCTORS stating that they were unable to care for them at the ER they came to. Both times, I had to end up reaching out to the…[Read more]

I’m with @Ashley Abuel! I use Adobe sign and it integrates with my Outlook email service, so I can send my consult agreements directly from my email.
Also, I LOVE Adobe Pro DC! It’s invaluable because it has so many PDF tools! I can’t tell you how many ways I use this!

Lesson 11 is the beginning of Client Acquisition, which describes the process from beginning to end of – yes – acquiring a new client. We’ll talk them through their fears, assure them we can help (but maybe not the way you expect), and then we’ll assess what they need us to do for them, convincing them to pay us to do the work.
