One more thought, if your client is of sound and stable mind to be able to request you be added to the telemedicine visit (should this be an option), this may come across as more acceptable. Just a thought.

Cynthia,
This is great! Active listening is SO important. Your clients will feel very supported when they feel heard! Being creative and thinking outside the box is fun and necessary but you are right, sometimes the answer is right in front of you and we may sometimes think, is that a trick question because it was a simple fix after all! Your…[Read more]

I am sure you expect to find yourself facing a lot of challenges even with your experience in the healthcare system. Thank you for your assessment! Many of the strengths you listed are so vital and it is great that you have those already in place and likely they came naturally to you. Those are the types of things that are more difficult to “teach” to people. Billing, claims, bookkeeping can more easily be taught and learned, I also have no doubt with time and…[Read more]

My strengths are all of the emotional, non-tangible aspects of being a PA (empathy, professionalism, creativity, problem solving, chutzpah, self-discipline, patience, etc). As a pulmonologist I am well versed in how the health care systems work and find myself “navigating” patients through complex tasks and crossroads with even things outside of…[Read more]

Lawanda,
Yes! I am so excited to hear how you can look back at the entry level position as your learning opportunity.
