Directory Search News |
|
SEARCH is your friend. It's the way potential clients
find you in the AdvoConnection Directory, in Google,
Bing, or other online directories. Learning and
implementing as many SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tactics as possible makes you much
more findable. |
|
|
Search in the AdvoConnection
Directory has been updated!
In early January, we made a number of updates to the way
the search works in AdvoConnection. We did this for two
reasons; first, to increase our reach in search engines
(SEO optimizations),
and then, specifically, to make it easier for
AdvoConnection visitors to find YOU.
There are now 4 different
searches a visitor can do.
We encourage you
to:
1.
Log
in to the search as if you were a searcher.
2. Try each kind of search to see if and where you
show up.
Here's a screenshot of the search page: |

We anticipate some of you
will find that you do not show up in the state you live
in. And we
know why! It means you missed the
instructions from April 2020 which suggested you add
this information to a special place in your directory
listing.
Do you need another copy of
that email with all the instructions for this update?
Send an email to
admin@aphadvocates.org and ask for the "State or
Province Update Email." We'll return it to you
right away. |

Reaching Your Target Audience |
|
We're always looking for ways
individual independent advocates can successfully market
to their target audiences. |
|
|
During the early days of COVID,
we reached out to +ADL APHA members to see if they would
be interested in blogging on the AdvoConnection blog.
The invitation was well received and many of you took us
up on it! Then we saw how well these posts worked
for marketing to patients. You can see many of these
posts
beginning here.
So we're opening the
AdvoConnection blog doors to you
again.
Do you have a post to
Here are the guidelines: |
• |
< 750 words |
• |
Any topic of general interest to patients that helps
them identify a problem with the healthcare system AND
shows them the value of working with a private patient
advocate. |
• |
Your post cannot have been posted elsewhere - not on
your website or your blog, or anyone else's. (This is
for SEO purposes. Search engines don't like redundancy.) |
• |
Don't worry about images or illustration. We'll find
those, and we'll post your writing to the web, citing
you and linking to your directory profile. We'll further
include links to your post in an upcoming APHA Agenda
(Tuesday newsletter that goes to all members.) |
|
If you are ready to share
YOUR post,
just send it to us in an email. We'll review and
determine if it's ready for posting.
Please note: We
reserve the right to accept or reject any post for any
reason. We may also edit it for brevity and readability.
We hope to hear from you soon! |

Have you updated your directory listing
lately?
Did you know that if search engines (like Google or Bing) determine
that you haven't make any updates in awhile, they will begin to ignore
you? Truth!
